Dr Hayes will commence practice on the 16th December 2024.

Dr Hayes is a Specialist Physician and our Medical Director comes from a distinguished Queensland medical family.

He was the first Queensland graduate accepted into a Sydney Teaching Hospital, was appointed to the world’s first Coronary Care Unit then to specialist studies in Edinburgh and London when he elevated to be a Fellow of both the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh and London.

He was taught by two of Australia’s melanoma pioneers Professor Gerry Mitchell and surgeon Neville Davis and was later in charge os skin at Greenslopes Hospital.

His passion is Preventive Medicine which has brought him to include Melanoma and Skin Cancers. He is the author of two internationally acclaimed textbooks, Skin Cancer, Melanoma and Mimics and Practical Skin Cancer Surgery. His latest book is Live Longer.

He has five kids, played most sports at a high level, farmed, gardens, writes doggerel and cooks. He also had an ABC radio weekly program and two national TV shows presenting and playing jazz.
